For years the holy city Varanasi in India was nr. 1 on my bucketlist. Hindus believe that dying here and getting cremated along the banks of the holy Ganges river allows one to break the cycle of rebirth and attain salvation. In 2019 I travelled trough the north of India and was able to photograph a lot of Sadhu's, very friendly men with a simple lifestyle with a few or no possessions. They are widely resepected for their holiness.
